Kamal Haasan (born Parthasarathy Srinivasan on 7 November 1954 is an Indian actor, Filmmaker, screenwriter, playback singer, television presenter, social activist and Politician who works mainly in Tamil Cinema. Besides Tamil, he has also appeared in some Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali films. Considered as one of the finest actors in Indian Cinema, Kamal Hassan is also known for introducing many new film technologies and film making techniques to the Indian film industry.Kamal Haasan started as a child artist in the 1960 Tamil film kalathur kannamma at the age of 6,for which he won the President ‘s Gold Medal. He received his primary education in paramakudi before moving to madras(now Chennai)as his brothers pursued their higher education. Hassan continued his education in xanthoma, Madras, and was attracted towards Film and fine Arts as encouraged by his father.
